On the ground implementation of the Mate to Mate program, improving mental health outcomes for the construction workforce
I have currently implemented a full 6 month program with Laing O’Rourke with 3 distinct phases.
- Relationship building – mental health first aider
- Workshops both field and office based
- Cultural / managerial workshops to implementing improved mental health and well being in the workplace.
I am currently on the Sydney Metro – Sydney Central Project which is significant in size with approximately 160 construction workers on site.
The Mate to Mate program has recently expanded to another project – SSJ (Sydenham Station and Junction Works) which is a separate Laing O’Rourke project in partnership with John Holland.
